Village Notices - July 2007

RECENT FLOODING

If anyone in the village can help residents affected by the recent flooding, with such things as temporary accommodation, properties, caravans etc, they can contact the Parish Council Clerk who would be pleased to hear from you - We are sure that any offers will be much appreciated.

CAR PARKING ON PUBLIC FOOTPATHS & GRASS VERGES

The Parish Council has received complaints that vehicles are being parked halfway on the road and halfway on the public footpaths. There are many disabled people in the village who use the footpaths in their mobility scooters, these parked vehicles leave insufficient room for the disabled to use the footpaths.

NO DRINKING ZONES

Residents Signs have been placed in the following locations: One on South Street, one at the Sports Hall, one near the school, one down the churchyard footpath

UNSOCIABLE BEHAVIOUR

The Parish Council and the Police are concerned about the problem of unsociable behaviour in the village. The illegal riding of mini-motor bikes on the streets, public footpaths and public open spaces has been reported to the Police. Also acts of vandalism and underage drinking are being dealt with by the Police Authority. The Parish Council are collating a list of all offences, the number to ring to contact the Parish Council collator is 01964 545898.

The local Police require all incidents to be reported by calling 07880 942979

Acts of unsociable behaviour must be reported as soon as possible.

20mph SCHOOL SAFETY ZONE
