Tribute band
'Straight as Quo' headed the first of many special evenings planned for
the Club. The show, held in the Main Sports Hall was a sell-out and
paved the way for more special nights in the future
The show started at
7.30 pm with an Elvis tribute by the brilliant Elvis
Gee (hope I've
spelt it right), followed by 15 year old
Jody
Webb a
fabulous young singer with a powerful voice -
(definitely one to watch for the future), she was followed by Bryan Ferry,
aka Willie Morgan.
The second half was the star act
Straight as
Quo, fronted by Tim Johnson aka
Francis Rossi, and Mike Roberts aka
Rick Parfitt, Mark Edwards aka Alan
Lancaster, Willie Morgan aka Bob Young
and Martin Pearson aka John Coghlan
