There is a footpath all around the lake,
and more than 40 pegs have been dug out and furnished.
Resident kingfishers can be seen on the
lake, together with the occasional heron that drop in for
a free meal. There is a bird feeding centre to attract the
song birds, also bat, owl and tit boxes have been set up in
various trees.

The lake is well stocked with many species of fish both
native and foreign, including Carp up to 28lb, Bream up
to 11lb, Roach & Rudd to 2 1/2lb, with various other
species including Barbel and Chub and Ide. |
The facility has ample parking and full
toilet facilities, and work is ongoing to make this one of the
most attractive and prolific fishing venues in the area,
including plans to provide extensive disabled facilities.

The latest addition to the park are
two log holiday cabins, set on the edge of the lake.
Each log cabin offers gas central heating, fitted
kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, washer and fridge,
one double and one twin bedroom and a bathroom with both
bath and shower.
The lounge includes a colour TV and
DVD and comfortable furnishings with patio doors
offering a charming view over the lake. |
Surrounded by trees and grassed areas,
the cabins each have a barbecue area and two private fishing
pegs, with lock up for fishing gear and a bait fridge.
