 Methodist Church...

There were originally two Methodist Chapels in the village, the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel built in 1816, enlarged in 1866 and renovated in 1889, was situated on East Street, though at some point this building was converted into, and still remains a private house. The other, a primitive Methodist Chapel was situated on West Street, but no evidence of this remains.

Both Chapels can be seen marked on the 1851 map of the village - marked as PMC and WMC.

The current Methodist Church, also on East Street, was originally built in 1877 on land given by J W Garton.  This Church was partly demolished and rebuilt in 1967.

Services are held every Sunday at 6.00pm, and they hold regular Coffee Mornings on the 1st Wednesday of each month and Craft mornings with a Soup & Sweet lunch on every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
