 1st Leven Scout Group...

The Scout Group started back in January 1968. It started life as a Scout Troop and Cub Pack in a small wooden HQ on the edge of the Leven Playing Field.

The wooden hut was replaced with a purpose built brick building about 20 years ago, after the original hut burnt down.

The building is known as the Scout & Guide Headquarters and the Beaver Colony shares residency.

There has been a Venture Unit at Leven that keeps resurrecting itself, but without committed leadership, it keeps folding.

Currently there are 40 members in the beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop, with six committed leaders, 2 for each section. There is also a Group Executive Committee, made up from parents, who work hard to raise funds and ensure that the Group moves with the times.
