 Leven Walking Club...

Leven Walking Club is a long established club, and over the years, members suggestions have resulted in a varied programme of walks on the Yorkshire Wolds, North York Moors and around East Yorkshire etc, ranging from easy field paths and country lanes, to more advanced rough moorland and forest treks, and from 5 miles to 10 miles in length.

Walks are undertaken summer and winter, and Wednesday evenings usually finds club members on an 'evening stroll', starting at village pubs in East Yorkshire.

You can follow their progress from your armchair, as "Nomad" writes regular reports on club activities in the Leven Life Magazine, or you could take the bull by the horns and join them, experiencing the great English countryside for yourself.

For more details about the club and their activities, check their website (here). The site contains three detailed 'Trans-Dales' routes, plus a comprehensive programme of walks planned for the year.

Alternatively, contact the club leader via (email) or by phone on 01964 543 883.
